“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him” (Psalm 34:8)! When we enjoy the fruits of life, we should always remember the source of each one. Whether it’s the food we eat, the home we live in, the job we work, the church we attend, our friends, family, or anything else, we should celebrate God’s goodness to us. As the psalmist meditated upon the goodness of the Lord, he exclaimed, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!” Our God is a great God! He is faithful to His people; even when His people are faithless to Him. May we never be guilty of that! It is time for God’s people once again to cherish God’s goodness and run to Him for safety. A complete understanding of God is not necessary for a complete trust in Him. I don’t understand everything about bridge construction, but I trust it to get me from one bank to the other. Blessed is the man and woman who places their trust in God and takes refuge in Him!
