Come And You Will See.  Have you ever been driving on a hot summer day along a straight stretch of road and seen what appeared to be a body of water across the road ahead?  As you got closer you realized that it was a mirage caused by the reflection of light rays off the hot surface of the road.  You were mistaken.  I’m convinced that many believers have of a mistaken view of Christ for the same reason; we walk at a distance from Him.  But just as the illusion of water on a road disappears as we approach it, mistaken ideas about Christ also disappear as we draw near to Him.  To His very first followers, Jesus said, “Come, and you will see” (John 1:39).  Today, He invites us again to approach Him and see Him for who He really is.  Come sinner, draw close to Jesus and be saved from your sins!  Come saint, draw closer to Jesus and be saved from your self!
