The Caring Christ.  The believers of the apostle Peter's day had many things about which to be anxious.  And so do the believers of our day.  There are challenges around every corner.  Our families, jobs, schools, communities, relationships, thoughts, etc.  All of these, and more, present opportunities for anxiety.  Anxiety is a killer.  It not only tears down our physical bodies; it attacks our spiritual man as well.  The appearance of a care (anxiety) is not an indication of our lack of faith.  What we do with it when it arises is!  Peter said we are to cast that care on Christ, because He cares for us.  The next time some anxiety confronts you, don't embrace it - release it to Christ.  He loves you and cares about you!
