The Trials of Life.  Last week, we were reminded that we are "born again" by a merciful act of God alone (1 Peter 1:3-5).  It's not by relationship or human will that one is saved, but by accepting the free gift offered by the Father through Jesus Christ the Son (John 1:12-13).  But this salvation experience is just the beginning of teh story.  There is a walk to walk.  Jesus said, "Follow Me" (Matthew 8:22).  And as we follow Christ, we find that life is full of challenges (trials).  But why?  Why must we endure trials as Christians?  The Apostle Peter says that it is related to our faith (1 Peter 1:6-7).  Let's investigate it together this morning!
