The Great Invitation. "Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest" (Mat 11:28, ESV). Is the unending busyness of life wearing you out? Are you running here and there with such frequency that you feel exhausted? Are responsibilities and unforeseen events weighing heavily on your mind? If you’re one of the millions of average Americans today, the answer is a resounding "Yes!" The Christian is not exempt from this malady, but has a resource unavailable to the unbeliever. Vacations only tire people out; solitude drives them crazy; and lack of activity makes them feel guilty. But if Christians are going to be energetic and evangelistic, they must once again learn to find rest and relief in Christ. Are you getting the rest you need?!
