The Christian Experience. With what shall we compare the Christian experience? What should it look like? What should it be like? I believe Paul’s tiny New Testament letter to his "fellow worker" Philemon provides an answer. As we read these 25 verses, we find one of the key players is a converted, runaway slave named Onesimus. Onesimus’ experience demonstrates what the Christian experience should be like. Two great actors are involved…the greatest is God, and the other is man. God does for us the things we are incapable of doing ourselves. Our actions are then a result of God’s action and motivated by an appreciative love for Him. Let us thank Him anew for our Christian Experience.
